Wideband Networking Waveform (WNW) OFDM on SDR-4000 Platform
Demonstration at MILCOM 2007 :: Booth 1225

L-3 Communications Nova Engineering and Spectrum Signal Processing have collaborated to demonstrate L-3 Nova's Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) waveform software operating on Spectrum's SDR-4000 software defined radio platform.

The JTRS Wideband Networking Waveform (WNW)-OFDM Signal in Space (SiS) demonstration consists of high rate video streaming across two SDR-4000s running the same OFDM waveform that is being delivered into the JTRS Ground Mobile Radios (GMR) program. The WNW-OFDM SiS is a highly adaptive waveform enabling wireless connectivity on-the-move in the most demanding propagation environments. Adaptable waveform parameters include center frequency, bandwidth, modulation order, FEC type, diversity and spreading; a subset of these adaptations is demonstrated here. L-3 Nova has previously ported the WNW-OFDM SiS to ten different platforms; the waveform port for this demonstration was completed in six weeks.
