Executive Team

Mark Briggs, General Manager

Mark is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the overall strategy for Spectrum, and provides essential hands-on technical and business leadership throughout the organization. Mark has held numerous roles at Spectrum including: Vice President of Product Management, Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Operations, and most recently Vice President of Business Development.

He began working in communications in 1988 as a software designer for Bell-Northern Research, and has since held many roles in product development, delivery, marketing, sales, and business development. Immediately prior to joining Spectrum in 2001, he was Director of Switch Products in the Wireless Messaging Group for Glenayre, Inc.

Mark received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University and his Master of Business Administration from the Sauder School of Business, at the University of British Columbia. He has been a licensed professional engineer since 1991.

Tudor Davies, Director of Technology

Tudor provides technical direction for Spectrum’s existing projects, and defines the architecture of Spectrum’s future products and projects. He has served in engineering roles for the Canadian Navy, as well as in Project Management roles in the research, development and deployment of the Navy’s new Sonar and EW systems.

Since joining Spectrum in 1998, Tudor has served in Program Management, System Engineering and Engineering Management capacities, where he successfully led teams to develop and deliver products that met complex customer requirements. He has worked with worldwide industry-leading customers to build communications solutions not exclusive to Software Defined Radio, Radar, Signal Intelligence, and Industrial Control.

Tudor holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada, and served for 20 years in the Canadian Navy as a Combat Systems Engineer.
