Spectrum Advantage

Spectrum provides technology solutions designed specifically to reduce the cost, technical and schedule risks of wireless programs. This includes coupling Spectrum’s hardware, software and firmware products with best in class third-party products and application engineering services to provide complete "RF to Ethernet" solutions that fully address customers’ application and program needs and can easily integrate into end system architecture.

Software Defined Radio Technology Leadership

Spectrum was the first to market with an off-the-shelf SCA-enabled modem subsystem. The SDR-3000 platform became the first with Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) representative hardware set in 2003 (see the press release) and in 2005, Spectrum was recognized for outstanding service and contribution from the JTRS Joint Program Office. Spectrum continues to be an active leader and participant in industry standards organizations like SDR Forum and RapidIO Trade Association.

Comprehensive solutions

The company’s rapid-prototyping and deployment platforms accelerate its customers’ development by providing integrated hardware, software and firmware systems along with application-specific software examples.

Cost effective outsourcing solutions

Spectrum's flexComm portfolio of hardware and software solutions has been designed using a mix and match approach that allows Spectrum to tailor platforms to best meet its customers’ needs. Spectrum’s modified commercial-off-the-shelf (MCOTS) process can then transition customers from laboratory and prototype systems into field-ready production units, optimizing for the size, weight, power and rugged requirements of the deployment environment.
