Account Executive / Field Sales

Spectrum Signal Processing designs and manufactures a variety of hardware and software components and systems designed for Software Defined Radios (SDR) applications. Markets for SDR technology include, but are not limited to Satellite and Terrestrial Communications (Military and Commercial), wireless data links for defense applications in the Signals Intelligence (Sigint) and Electronic Warfare (EW) markets. Spectrum’s primary advantage is reducing our customers’ time to develop and deploy complex wireless systems.

We have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Account Executive / Field Sales professional to join our team. The successful candidate is highly motivated, self-driven, customer focused and has strong technical knowledge. The candidate must have a good understanding of Government and Military applications (Military Radios, Signals Intelligence, Satellite Communications), and be comfortable with selling to large Defense and Commercial companies. The position reports to the VP Sales for Spectrum located in Columbia, MD. Travel is required and estimated at 20%-30%.

Required Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• 3-5 years of successful Technical Sales experience
• Experience with Software Defined Radio technology or other wireless communications applications
• Dynamic presentation capabilities and ability to clearly present technical information
• Ability to work with and lead a team to close a complex sale
• Self motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills

Education Required:

• Bachelors degree (Business training or MBA considered an asset)

The chosen candidate must be able to travel to the US and abroad, and qualify to work in an environment governed by the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
