Lockheed Martin Space Systems selects Spectrum for Advanced Communications project
]
Lockheed Martin Space Systems will use Spectrum's flexComm SDR-3000 software reconfigurable platform
for the development of advanced communications systems. The SDR-3000 is the only high performance platform
of its kind designed specifically for communications applications, and has capabilities that are ideal for developing
leading-edge systems for use in a variety of defense communications programs.

Lowering Cost Barrier for SDR Internal Research and Development Programs
]
Spectrum's Internal Research and Development (IRAD) package significantly lowers the development cost barrier for
research in the field of Software Defined Radio (SDR) for companies like Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
ORNL selected the flexComm SDR-3000 platform for use in multiple research programs because the platform's
ability to support a diverse range of communications applications, including the capability to demonstrate multi-standard
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readers.
Spectrum has partnered with technology leaders Wind River and Harris Corporation to provide the industry's first
Software Communications Architecture (SCA) enabled SDR IRAD package. The package includes Wind River's VxWorks®
and Tornado Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Harris' SCA Core Framework and complete Domain Manager
Toolkit (dmTK) with Spectrum's SDR-3000 platform, quicComm hardware abstraction layer, and SCA Board Support package.
