Dual 14-bit High-Speed Digital-to-Analog Converter and Xilinx Virtex-II Processing Engine

The ePMC-2111 DAC CCA provides signal generation functions to an RF signal processing system. It converts digital inputs from multiple sources or internally generated data into two 70 MHz IF outputs each with 40 MHz bandwidth.

The ePMC-2111 DAC is a single-width ePMC module, 32-bit/33 MHz PCI device. It incorporates a single Xilinx Virtex-II XC2V6000 FPGA for signal encoding and modulation, as well as interfaces to I/O and other components on the board. A high-speed interface to the carrier board can be established via Solano links instantiated in the FPGA (TBD). The ePMC-DAC also includes dedicated digital ports for input of baseband data.
