Dual Input 14-bit 65 MHz and 80 MHz A/D Enhanced PMC Modules

The ePMC-2ADC is a key component in Spectrum’s series of digital radio ePMC modules from the flexComm wireless communications product line. The ePMC-2ADC is a dual input 14-bit 65/80 MSPS A/D converter in a single-width Enhanced PMC (ePMC) form factor. The Enhanced PMC standard is fully compatible with the IEEE P1386.1 PMC standard but offers the additional benefit of dedicated Solano~links between ePMC compliant carriers and mezzanine modules. The ePMC-2ADC is compatible with a range of Spectrum’s ePMC-supported carrier boards, processing engines, and I/O modules, such as the PRO-1900/1901 and ePMC-8120. The ePMC-2ADC samples IF signals up to 80 MSPS and converts them into a high-speed serial data stream, using LVDS (low voltage differential signaling) for low power consumption and high noise immunity. The linkIF/LVDS data streams can be chained to multiple ePMC-8120 modules to tune into either a narrowband or wideband radio signal anywhere within the IF bandwidth.
