Platform
The run-time software architecture for C6x subsystems allows the application
to use Spectrum's quicComm API or to interface directly with the hardware
in native mode.
Spectrum's C6x software architecture illustrates how the layers of the software
stack can directly access OS Services and Board Support Packages.
Algorithm
The application developer can also interface to third-party algorithms, allowing
different vendors to create algorithmic blocks for C6x processors that have a
consistent interface, and interoperate with each other.
O/S and Development Tools
The operating system currently offered for C6203/64x subsystems is Texas Instrument's DSP/BIOS.
The development environment is Code Composer Studio, which includes: an Editor,
Compiler/ Linker/Assembler, Parallel, source-level debugger and DSP/BIOS II.
