MPEG-2 HD Video Encoder

The DM-1320 offers cost-effective, high-quality, real-time encoding of up to two high-definition analog video inputs to MPEG-2 High Definition (HD) in a compact form factor. A unique feature of the DM-1320 is the variety of external interfaces that are possible as future options, including SDI Input, DVB-ASI output, DVB-SPI output, and even QAM RF output.

The default configuration of the DM-1320 accepts multiple HD definition analog component video inputs and outputs MPEG-2 HD video via IP over Gigabit Ethernet. Advanced high-quality encoding techniques are used to generate an MPEG-2 HD transport stream for transmission over IP. Configuring the encoder settings can be done remotely using a browser-based configuration utility. The DM-1320 is software-reconfigurable for future updates such as H.264/MPEG-4.

The DM-1320 can encode two analog 720p or 1080i HD component video channels at 60 fps over IP streams in a single 1RU 19” form-factor.
