Obsolescence Management

Minimize the impact of obsolescence to your products and avoid costly re-designs due to component obsolescence. Upon product end-of-life, Spectrum will work with you to develop a unique Obsolescence Management Plan that will specify the quantity of product required over a duration of time. Last-time buy quantities of components going obsolete will be placed into bonded inventory as customer-owned material. Spectrum monitors the product bill-of-materials (BOM) for further component obsolescence. Upon such occurrence, Spectrum notifies the customer of the additional component(s) EOL and works with the customer to update the Obsolescence Management Plan.

Extended Hardware Warranty

Extended hardware warranty provides you with a known cost for all maintenance and repair for up to 5 years. This will mitigate your costs of supporting fielded systems and ensure warranty protection for products sitting in inventory over the warranty period.

Spectrum offers:

• Standard 12-months warranty on all hardware products to protect against manufacturing workmanship and component defects.
• Warranty extensions up to a total of 5 years for most of standard hardware products. The extended hardware warranty must be purchased at the time the product is ordered.

Advantages of Extended Hardware Warranty

• Fixed maintenance costs. Have full visibility of short term and long term costs. Purchase extended hardware warranty at the time of original product purchase and do not worry about any repair costs that may arise after 12 months.
• Reduced administrative delays. No additional purchase orders are required for product repairs covered by the extended hardware warranty.
• Support fielded systems for many years. Extend your hardware warranty protection for a total of 5 years. This is ideal for programs that require support beyond the standard 12 month warranty period.
• Protect products sitting in inventory (spares). Extend the hardware warranty period for a total of 5 years to cover products purchased as spare inventory from the time of the original product purchase.
