Communications
Architecture (SCA) on SDR-2000 / SDR-3000 / SDR-4000 Platforms

(4 days)

An intensive workshop that includes the curriculum of the SDR-2000, SDR-3000 or SDR-4000 Platform workshop along with the Software Communications Architecture training that includes:

  • Design, develop, build and run SCA compliant waveforms
  • Understand a practical approach to developing waveforms while avoiding pitfalls when working with the SCA
  • Program the the SDR-2000 Waveform Design Studio (WDS), PRO-3500, PRO-3100, or PRO-4600 and module-based I/O products for SCA applications
  • Use third-party software supplied with your platform:
    • SDR-2000 WDS: Microsoft Windows XP, TAO CORBA, Zeligsoft CE/UCG and Harris SCA Core Framework
    • SDR-3000: Tornado/VxWorks, TAO CORBA, Zeligsoft CE/UCG and Harris SCA Core Framework
    • SDR-4000: INTEGRITY/MULTI, OIS ORBexpress® RT, CRC SCA Core Framework and SCARI tools or Zeligsoft CE/UCG tools

SDR-3002 IMRDP Orientation

An orientation workshop designed to augment our SDR-3000 training and allow customers to develop skills in using the DRT2110 and DRT4001 front-end transceivers. Familiarity with Wind River's Tornado 2.x Development Tools for VxWorks 5.x and Xilinx’s ISE FPGA Development Tools for Virtex II devices is recommended.

HCDR-1000 Platform
(2 days)

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Design, develop, build and run real-time applications
  • Understand common programming techniques
  • Program the PRO-1900, ePMC-PPC and ePMC based I/O products (note: this material is customizable to your specific configuration)
  • Program with Spectrum’s quicComm™ library
  • Use third-party software supplied with HCDR-100X, including Tornado/VxWorks
